Nvidia acquired VinBrain from VinGroup
On the evening of December 5, after signing an agreement to establish two AI centers with the government, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said the group had acquired VinBrain – the artificial intelligence enterprise of VinGroup – for development. a major future design center in Vietnam.
VinBrain’s website on the morning of December 6 also updated its interface with the announcement of becoming part of Nvidia, which was acquired by Nvidia in December 2024 and is no longer an independent entity.
In addition to VinBrain, the world’s largest chip manufacturer has probably also considered acquiring VinAI – another member of VinGroup.

VinBrain is a subsidiary of VinGroup.
VinBrain is one of six companies in the technology and industrial sector of the Group, alongside VinFast, VinCSS, VinAI, VinBigdata and VinHMS.

The main products developed by VinBrain in the past 5 years are AI medical assistant DrAid – supporting paraclinical diagnostic methods, AIscaler – data tagging platform, AIviCam – AI security camera solution and SenMe – AI-integrated mental health app…
In particular, DrAid is the first AI application product in Vietnam to support doctors in diagnosing heart and lung diseases through X-ray, developed by VinBrain since 2019.
VinBrain is also one of the first companies to commercialize medical AI products in the international market.
This company has deployed these solutions in more than 182 hospitals in Vietnam, America, India, Australia… helping doctors improve work efficiency.
Currently, VinBrain has commercial contracts in 5 markets including the US, India, Myanmar, Australia and Vietnam.
In Vietnam, VinBrain cooperates with large hospitals such as Central Military Hospital 108, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital and private medical systems such as Medlatec.
In VinGroup’s 2023 Annual Report, VinBrain aims to become the leading unit in Southeast Asia in market share of AI products in the medical field.
